About the Adaptive Climbing Techniques Workshops:
Participants will be introduced to the many methods used to aid climbers with special personal challenges. From simple self-advancing moving rope systems to safely hoisting the disabled climber aloft in a special chair. Minimum age: 8 years. Fee: donations accepted.
About the Community Outreach Facilitated Climbing Session
Open to both registered attendees and the public, participants of all abilities are welcome to climb using systems appropriate to their abilities. We can get anyone aloft. Ages: 8-80 years. Fee: donations accepted.
Silent Auction
As in previous years, a silent auction will be held from Friday evening until Sunday 6:30 pm. We will announce the silent auction winners after dinner and arrange payment after that.
Pre- and Post- ‘Vous Activities
Some of us will be in the area before and after the Rendezvous dates. We will organize some group tours including scuba diving or snorkeling and visits to local places of interest. Details are to be worked out and announced as they develop.
Climbing Innovations
Expert climber and inventor Richard Mumford of Climbing Innovations will be at the Rendezvous and will present the following at a time and place to be determined:
- Rope walking clinic on the Rope Master.
- End to end climbing techniques.
- On Bight Redirect and clean-up as you go redirects.
- Anchor setting and testing.
- Anchor re-setting techniques.
- Line retrieval options.
- Introduction of equipment innovations.
- Hitch Hiker XF (HHxf).
- Revised Long Shot.
- Line setting for traverses using the MagThrowBag and new line setting tools.
- Footie.
- Scabbard Keeper
